My name is Farkas Rabai - Nymeriq is where I track ideas before they get cleaned up into something too polished to trust. I’ve spent years working in product across startups and large companies, much of that time around cybersecurity. Today I work remotely as a Senior Technical Product Manager, somewhere between product thinking and technical reality.
I like products that carry real weight without making noise about it. The best technology moves quietly. You only really miss it when the trail goes cold. This site is where I write about product management, software development, AI, security, and the systems behind them. Some posts start as hobby projects. Some as research. Some as questions that stay interesting long enough to be worth following.
Outside work, I’m into smart home tech, Linux, and making separate systems work as one. I run Home Assistant, enjoy tinkering, and appreciate products that feel clean, dependable, and built with care. Having two young kids and a very non-technical home life is a good filter for bad technology. If something only works for people who enjoy fighting with it, it probably doesn’t work well enough. I’m interested in AI and fascinated by robotics, but I’m more interested in useful tools than industry noise.
My name is Farkas Rabai — Nymeriq is where I keep my thoughts before they’re cleaned up, civilized, and polished into something too harmless to trust. I’ve spent years working in product across startups and larger companies, much of that time stalking the territory around cybersecurity. Today I work remotely as a Senior Technical Product Manager, living in the narrow space between product thinking and technical reality, where good ideas either prove themselves or die in the dark.
I like products with real weight — the kind that don’t need to howl to make themselves known. The best technology moves quietly, almost invisibly. You only feel its absence when the trail goes cold and the silence starts to matter. This site is where I write about product management, software development, AI, security, and the systems beneath their skin. Some posts start as hobby projects. Some as research. Some as questions that stay alive long enough to deserve pursuit.
Outside work, I’m into smart home tech, Linux, and making separate systems behave like one beast. I run Home Assistant, enjoy tinkering, and admire products that feel clean, dependable, and built with care. Having two young kids and a very non-technical home life is an excellent way to expose weak technology. If something only works for people who enjoy fighting it night after night, it probably doesn’t work well enough. I’m interested in AI and fascinated by robotics, but I’m far more interested in useful tools than in the industry’s constant howling.
